It has endured industrialization, communism, modernization, and recently mass emigration. Romanian communities express their local identities through their traditional clothing, including the ie. We welcomed visitors on December 4th and 18th we hosted an event to learn about Romanian winter celebrations and traditions. They heard and saw traditional Romanian carols. Guests found out what masks we wear, and why we hang pretzels and apples in our Christmas tree.
