November 13, 14 and 15, 2026
Every life is a collection of stories. Every story is a reflection of us.
Join us for the 2026 Romanian Film Festival Twin Cities, where powerful films explore the experiences that shape our identities, connect generations, and illuminate our shared humanity. Through stories of family, memory, belonging, resilience, and change, this year’s festival invites audiences to reflect on the journeys that define who we are and how we relate to one another.
Whether rooted in Romanian heritage or discovering Romania through cinema for the first time, audiences will encounter stories that are both deeply personal and universally meaningful.Stories help us understand where we come from, how we change, and what brings us together. Through contemporary Romanian cinema, discover the voices, experiences, and perspectives that reveal the many ways our individual stories become part of a larger human story.
The Romanian Film Festival Twin Cities showcases award-winning films, emerging voices, and compelling stories from Romania and beyond. Through cinema, the festival creates opportunities for dialogue, learning, and cultural exchange while celebrating the richness and diversity of the human experience. All movies are in Romanian language with English subtitles.
This year’s theme, Stories of Us, explores the intersections of identity, memory, family, and social transformation. The selected films examine what it means to grow, belong, remember, and adapt in a rapidly changing world, offering audiences a deeper understanding of both contemporary Romanian life and the universal questions that connect us all. Each film offers a unique perspective. Together, they create a collective portrait of the experiences, relationships, and histories that connect us.
Every story is personal. Every story is shared. Every story is part of us.
