On May 10, HORA participated in the EU Open House in Washington, D.C., presenting an immersive Superstitions Exhibit created in partnership with the Romanian Embassy in the United States. Together, we welcomed more than 3,000 visitors who explored Romania’s rich world of folk beliefs, protective rituals, symbolic objects, and centuries‑old traditions.
The exhibit featured curated artifacts, visual storytelling, and interactive elements that invited guests to discover the origins and meanings behind Romanian superstitions. Visitors of all ages engaged with the display, learning how these customs continue to shape cultural identity and everyday life.
This collaboration with the Embassy allowed us to showcase Romanian heritage on a national stage and connect with thousands of guests throughout the day. The enthusiastic response underscored the importance of cultural preservation and the value of sharing Romania’s unique traditions with a broader audience.
