We were delighted to participate in this year’s EU Open House event at the invitation of the Romanian Embassy in Washington DC.
Our exhibit “ Romanian Spring Traditions” is curated by Raluca Octav and realized with the amazing photographs by Gabriel Motica. This exhibit celebrates the rich and colorful customs of springtime in Romania, showcasing the unique blend of history, folklore, and community spirit. Visitors will explore traditional practices such as Mărțișor, a custom of exchanging small red and white trinkets symbolizing the arrival of spring and renewal of life. The exhibit highlights traditional costumes, music, crafts, and festivals that mark the season, offering an immersive journey into the heart of Romania’s cultural heritage. Discover the enduring charm of these age-old traditions and their place in modern Romanian life.
