On February 25th, Minnesota Ukrainians joined Ukrainians and their allies in more than 40 cities across North America to unite in solidarity and to Stand with Ukraine. Romania provided wonderful assistance for Ukraine, accepting over 800,000 refugees and much more.
HORA president, Gina Popa participated in this event that recognized the strength and perseverance of the Ukrainian people and their allies, and the local Ukrainian American Community supporters and volunteers. Participants had an opportunity to listen to the keynote by Volodymyr Dubovyk, an expert in the field of international affairs: “Horror and heroism: the lessons of the first year of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.” Ukrainian music by The Isles Ensemble, referred to by the Star Tribune as the “cream of the Twin Cities classical musicians” performed at the event.
