HORA is focused on activities and programs under 3 areas: Romanian Language Classes, Oral History Projects, Youth Interships.
Documenting Immigration – Oral History Project
Between 1945 and 1989, behind a massive Communist propaganda, Romanians suffered greatly under a totalitarian regime that stripped its citizens of the most basic human rights.
Language is a most important element of a culture. Affordable Romanian Language Classes at all levels are offered at various locations throughout the Twin Cities to adults and children (ages 3 and up).
HORA has established an Internship Program, where we will offer Grants to two motivated youth every year, for supporting the activities of our organization in the area of media (vieo recording, photopgraphy), web content, Newsletter editing, Event Organization.
